Certified: Pet First Aid & CPR
Well, I did it. I got certified. Certified in Pet First Aid and CPR that is! My greyhound, Laura, is a bit of a clutz. If she were human, she’d be that person constantly getting bruised, scraped up, and falling. Well, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. She may not be human, but she’s sure my dog.
That’s one reason why I opted to take the Pet Tech Pet First Aid and CPR training offered by Tracey Haskell from Green Acres Kennel Shop recently. I also took it so that when I work with other people’s pets, I know what to do if there’s a problem.
In high school and throughout college, I worked for Brunswick Recreation as a concessionaire. Every summer, I took human first aid and CPR. I’m glad I did because it helped me with this course.
Even the unseasoned pet owner can successfully complete this course. It cost $50. In my opinion, it’s money well spent! Especially if you have a curious, excitable, and mischievous pet, like my greyhound, Laura. Keep an eye out for training in your neck of the woods. You won’t regret it!
